| Nov 2025 | POWER TRAIN | Since I've purchased the truck in 2023 I've been receiving in the mail notices about a recall for the rear-axel shaft for my 2022 f150. I am a major proponent of safety and maintenance. Year over year I've attempted to get it fixed at authorized ford dealerships but I've been told a handful of times that the parts are not available and I'm not getting the appropriate urgency required for an issue of this stature. I am embarking on a big trip and I'm concerned about my safety and the safety of others on the road. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2025 | POWER TRAIN | Loss of engine coolant resulted in overheating and need to pull off to side of highway. Issue is described in the SSM - 51485 described below 2021-2023 F-150 - 3.5L PowerBoost - Loss Of Engine Coolant Due To External Coolant Leak At The Heat Exchanger Coolant Spigots Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost engine may experience a loss of engine coolant with possible engine overheat and/or illuminated malfunction indicator (MIL). This may be due to a crack in the exhaust heat exchanger coolant spigots on the top of the exhaust heat exchanger. The exhaust heat exchanger coolant spigots are now released and should be serviced in pairs. It is no longer necessary to replace the muffler inlet pipe assembly for this type of concern. Workshop Manual, Section 309-00D has been updated to include a new service procedure. For claiming, use causal part 18663 and applicable labor operations in Section 05 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. | Nov 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | After entering my 2022 F150 Lariat in a parking lot and starting it, I placed my iPhone on the charger and I backed out of the spot I was in with my hazard lights turned on. I placed the vehicle in drive and turned off the hazard lights. As I pulled forward, a deafening sound came from the back seat of my truck that sounded like some kind of electric static with a popping noise. I reflexively pressed the break, ducked my head and tried to turn the volume knob down which did nothing. I pressed the stop/start button to shut the vehicle off and that did not change the sound coming from the door speakers. I jumped out of the truck because the sound was painful and proceeded to use a pair of pliers from a leatherman that I was carrying to disconnect the positive side of the battery; this too did nothing. At this point, I closed all of doors and searched the web on my phone to see if similar problems existed for other owners and if there was a fix. After about 8-10 minutes, the sound stopped. Based on what I read, this was a widely known issue on Ford F150 models between the years 2021-2024. Apparently, Ford has not responded to this yet. If this we’re to happen while driving, it’s would be shocking enough to cause a reflexive action that could put people in danger of a crash. I have video of this occurrence if needed. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

The dealer informed the contact about a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 60,000 |
| Nov 2025 | POWER TRAIN | On Acceleration from a stop at approx. 35 miles per hour the rear wheels locked up causing the vehicle to come to an abrupt screeching stop. Almost rear ended by other vehicles causing great concern for safety. According to Ford the codes that kicked off are transmission shift solenoids. This is the second time this happened, fist time was backing out of a driveway, no codes and could not detect. I have fear this could happen at higher speeds and cause great harm. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

No warning lights on the dash, problem appeared intermittently but was confirmed by AutoNation Ford St Petersburg location by Ford tech. Took it to an independent transmission specialist and they also confirmed the failure and found large metal chunks in the transmission oil pan. | Oct 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Vehicle Information Year/Make/Model: 2022 Ford F-150 Mileage: 38,488 Component: Sunroof / Visibility / Water Leak Complaint Description I am filing this complaint regarding a recurring safety issue with my 2022 Ford F-150 equipped with the optional sunroof. The sunroof has a persistent water leak that occurs during rainfall. This leak drips directly into the cabin area, creating a significant distraction while driving and fogging of the windshield. The distraction is especially hazardous during inclement weather when driver focus is critical for safe operation. The vehicle has been taken to Suburban Ford for service on three separate occasions. The first two service times the vehicle was returned with the vehicle issue not corrected. It is currently in for service for the third time. I have been informed that the entire sunroof system, the headliner and seat will need to be replaced. This condition is a known issue affecting F-150 vehicles with the optional sunroof. The repeated failure of the sunroof system to remain watertight, combined with the lack of timely repair parts creates an ongoing safety hazard for its drivers. Safety Concern The water intrusion causes driver distraction and could lead to loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash. Request I urge the NHTSA to investigate this issue as a potential safety defect affecting Ford F-150 vehicles with sunroofs. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
