Oct 2022 STEERING,POWER TRAIN,UNKNOWN OR OTHER Svc 4wd light went on in the car after start-up, and i tried to reverse from my parking spot with the wheel turned and it felt like the emergency brakes were on. I stopped to check and they were not. i tried to reverse again and the car starts making a grinding noise and jerking motion as it pulls out slowly. When I drive straight I almost can’t accelerate and the car randomly jerks and stops which could cause an accident if the person behind me doesn’t brake quick enough. I immediately brought it to the Jeep dealership since this is the second time in a week this has happened but the first time it seemed to resolve itself. The service tech put a device to check the cars computer and I was told the car is no longer driveable and said something is wrong with the transmission and transfer case.they did not have loaners or rentals so now I am careless.

Oct 2022 ENGINE Vehicle would not start. Drove to a distant High School. Parked. Went to leave and the vehicle will not start. I had to have the vehicle towed to the dealership. I have been advised that it is a Hybrid Engine Coupling. There were no warning lights.

Oct 2022 STEERING,SUSPENSION,POWER TRAIN The vehicle violently shakes when it encounters a bump, pothole, or other road surface deviation while driving over 60mph. The steering wheel and front wheels of the vehicle both do this until speed is reduced to under 50mph. Control of the vehicle is greatly reduced during this period. The vehicle is currently at the dealership with 3,000 miles and was purchased new in June of 2022. There are no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms that appear prior to this behavior. The behavior is consistent, occurring anytime its driven over 60mph and a road surface deviation is encountered.

Oct 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Brand new 2022 Wrangler Sahara 4xe randomly stalled in traffic. There was about 450 miles on the vehicle. This happened about 2 weeks after I purchased the vehicle. I've seen that others have been having this issue and there's even a lawsuit regarding this. I had two passengers in the car with me and I was driving at night with a line of cars behind me down a windy road and could have caused a pile up. When I first got in the car, the pure gas range was around 135 miles. I put the car in electric and drove for about 3 minutes till I arrived at my destination. Right after I put the car in park, the low fuel sign came on but there was still around 126 miles left of gas so I was very confused. I drove for another 5 minutes and this time the fuel dropped down to 34 miles. So within a matter of minutes, I lost 100 miles in gas range. I went to fuel the car and when I turned it off and on, the low fuel sign disappeared and the car was back to 126 miles of gas range before I even put any additional fuel into it. I figured this was just a fuel sensor issue and ignored it. After I added fuel, it drove fine for 30 minutes or so and then as I was driving home, I noticed that the car seemed to just suddenly slow down and I got a warning sign to put my car in park and turn it off and on. I was able to pull to the side but I noticed that on the side where you can choose between, electric, hybrid, and e-save, all of the options were not lighted. It appeared as though the engine had stalled. Once I restarted the car, it ran fine. I do not believe I received a check engine light or any other warning signs except for the car telling me to restart and once I did, everything went away. Some folks on the 4xe forum said to check the fusebox and 90% of the fuses were loose or not seated properly. However, this should not be related to the fuel sensor issue. Brought it to a dealership and they said nothing was wrong with it and no codes came up.

I also got an error message on my Jeep U connect app "a charge fault has occurred." I'm lucky to be alive. At the time, I had two-thirds full tank of gas and 6% battery charge (see attachment).

Oct 2022 STEERING car is less than 3 months old. when I am driving at highway speeds 55-65 mph the steering wheel starts to vibrate and shack to a point, I have to slow down to get control of the wheel once again. the vibration is so bad that some people may lose control of the car. It has happened off and on with no pattern (random). Jeep dealership has NO clue to wat it is.

Sep 2022 STEERING,SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE Vehicle was being driven at about 10 mph or less in a busy and congested area. left turn was made. There was an immediate loss of braking and steering with this turn. The vehicle engine began to roar and the tachometer went to highest number. Just about all warning lights on the dash were flashing and there was audible beeping as well. The ignition was turned off but all warning lights continued to flash and there were audible beeping. The vehicle had locked itself into an "Auto Park" mode, and it was unable to be driven or placed into gear. The battery was disconnected, allowing the computer to reset. Although the vehicle continued to malfunction, I was able to drive it out of the main traffic and into a parking lot. A wrecker was called, and the vehicle was transported to a local Jeep dealership. The local dealership kept the vehicle for several days, and tested it extensively. They were able to reproduce the loss of steering. They found some erroneous solders on a component, the "Star Connector". It is believed that this may have shorted something in the electrical system. The safety of myself and family and all others in the vicinity of the Jeep 4xe were in grave danger when the initial brake, steering and engine failure occurred. Other people may well have been run over during this event. The problem of loss of steering was reproduced by the Jeep dealership that worked on the 4xe, and they feel that it was corrected by replacing the Star Connector. I have paperwork from the dealership to document the incident. The vehicle is available for inspection and I currently have to drive it, although I have loss of conficence and feel afraid to drive it.

Sep 2022 VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,UNKNOWN OR OTHER I was driving on the highway at speeds of 75 mph and the car suddenly stopped entirely and began decelerating at a VERY quick speed to almost 30 mph in just a few seconds. Luckily, nobody was behind me, otherwise the speed at which it was slowing down would have caused a collision. The car would not accelerate in the time that it was decelerating and the gas pedal stopped working entirely. There were no warning signs or messages that appeared, and the car said that electric mode was unavailable at this time then began to decelerate. I allowed the car to come to a complete stop and then restarted it with no issue until the exact situation happened again, at highway speeds, for a second time after only around 300 miles since the first incident. Then I realized there was a problem with the car and it was not a one off incident.

Aug 2022 UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Vehicle excessively started leaking fluid from the front end of the vehicle. The car then reported a message on the dashboard "transmission hot", thus explaining the fluid. Transmission fluid was leaking from the pan excessively. Dealership stated there was a recall on the water sealant, however I do not see any recalls on the website. They seem to be making a false claim on recall. Perris Valley Jeep Center, City Perris CA

Jul 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE Purchased this Jeep brand new and 2 days later I went to start it in my garage and instrument panel lights all started flashing. It was cycling through all of the error codes with emergency lights flashing and would not start. I let the vehicle sit and after a couple of hours it restarted but the check engine light was on. I test drove the vehicle around the block and it stopped in traffic. Vehicle was towed back to the dealership where it was purchased where it has been since 7/13/2022. Originally I was told it was a shifter and that they replaced it but now I am being told it is the entire wiring harness. The shop manager at the dealership has tried resetting the error codes several times with no resolve and he will not put his stamp of approval that this vehicle is safe to drive. I am not comfortable putting my family in this vehicle.

Jul 2022 STEERING The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle experienced loosened steering control. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 186.

Jul 2022 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE During routine driving at highway speed, the vehicle’s electronic stability control (ESC) warning light illuminated on the dashboard. Within seconds, the vehicles check engine light (CEL) also illuminated. At that point, the vehicle stalled without battery or engine power via any internal combustion or battery power. I was able to safely coast the vehicle to the side of the road narrowly avoiding any accident. I shut off the vehicle hoping this was some sort of electronic error since the vehicle only had 800 miles. However, when restarting the vehicle, both warning lights still remained illuminated and would not clear. I was able to successfully have the vehicle taken back to my home while inoperable. I began researching various forums pertaining to the Jeep 4XE with many owners claiming the vehicle has fuse seating issues. Upon inspecting the fuse box, nearly 15 fuses were improperly seated. Once seated by me, I was able to start the vehicle and the ESC and CEL light cleared and normal vehicle operations now exist. My wife and I live in permanent fear that this type of vehicle will stall again and we will be unable to dodge traffic to coast to the shoulder. Please investigate this troubling concern on this vehicle model. Thank you. The vehicle and components are available for inspection. The incident has not been replicated and a dealer has not seen the vehicle yet.

May 2022 ENGINE My vehicles check engine light went on for the first time with approximately 2,286 miles driven on the brand new car. The dealer indicated is was a "coolant issue" but did not provide any additional information. I dropped off my vehicle for repair on 4/25/22 at my local dealer. The vehicle was not fixed until 5/4/22. The check engine light went on for a second time on 5/29/22. When taking the vehicle to my local auto store the report indicated another "coolant" issue. This should not be happening on a new car with less than 4,000 miles on it and 3 months old. This issue has been confirmed by Liberty Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram located at 1000 E Park Avenue, Libertyville Illinois 60048. I am concerned for several reasons. (1) This could be a sign of additional issues, especially with under 5,000 miles on the vehicle. (2) I am concerned that unless this issue is fixed completely by Jeep the vehicle is at risk for serious malfunction while driving which would put the safety of myself along with anyone driving or in the vehicle at risk for a serious accident and even the possibility of death. (3) I am also concerned that continuous coolant malfunctions will put the engine block at risk which would be a serious safety and financial issue. The more stress on the engine and components the lifespan of the vehicle could be diminished and resale value severely affected. There were not indications of anything wrong with the vehicle prior to the check engine light coming on both instances. The vehicle is available for inspections upon request.

May 2022 UNKNOWN OR OTHER I just bought this vehicle new less than two weeks ago. The, Service Shifter, message started the day after purchase. I took back to the dealership today. Before getting home "Service Shifter" message happened twice. I am taking it back again tomorrow and they are giving me a rental and are going to look into it more thoroughly. After researching this message I have found that it is very common and has led to vehicles going into neutral while driving.

Apr 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE Vehicle purchased with 12 miles on it, drove it home and parked and locked it. Later in the evening when I went to get into the vehicle the key fob would not unlock the vehicle. Went to unlock it with the key and anti theft was engaged. Received multiple messages from Sirius Guardian stating our vehicle was stolen. Unable to shut the alarm off, unlock or lock the vehicle, or start the vehicle. No warning deployed on UConnect, just through Guardian but the vehicle is immovable and inoperable. Vehicle is currently at the dealership.

Mar 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE The Wrangler accelerated while doing regenerative braking or while my foot was on the brake. This caused it to hit a building. It is available for inspection. My safety and my child's safety was put at risk when contact was made with a building. Those inside the building were also at risk. The problem has not been reproduced yet as the incident just happened. The vehicle was towed to a dealer. Insurance will be inspecting. Police were called to scene of accident. I will file a claim with Jeep as well. I was running it in full electric mode and I don't remember any issues. The vehicle was just re wired as well.

Mar 2022 STEERING,SUSPENSION,WHEELS On 03/03/2022 I purchase a new 2door jeep wrangler s 2022 at the Victoria dealership in Texas. During the test drive, while driving on the highway at 70 mph, I expressed my concern about the steering wheel acting out and feeling loose. It was a very short drive. The dealership personnel reassured me that everything was fine with the car and I would be safe while driving it. I was ready to drive back home to Corpus Christi. Unfortunately, the 140 mi ride turned into a nightmare. After speeding to 60 mph on the highway, the car started acting weird. The wheel felt loose, the steering not under control. The next curve on the road, and I completely lost control over the car; the car just went into the right lane, and I was lucky the truck behind managed to stop. And then it happened again when I was slowing down. I had to stop to calm down. I was shaking and was scared to keep driving home. It took me over 3 hours to get home—the most extended 3 hours ever. I kept the speed 50 mph and below the whole time, and my sister was driving behind me. On 03/05/2022 the vehicle was at the dealership in Corpus Christi to be checked and the problem fixed. They test drove it, find a wobble when hitting a bump, changed a part. The main problem of the loose steering wheel hasn't been fixed. At higher speeds the wheel goes left and right, and the car does not follow; I don't have control of the vehicle and it goes into the right lane on its own. Very unsafe!
