At approximately 30 mph, the vehicle suddenly shut off, shifted into neutral, and ceased to operate leaving me stranded in the middle of the road. The vehicle would not start, shift into neutral, or operate in any manner. Several warning instrument lights came on. After about 30 minutes, the vehicle started and continued to loose power several times before I could get it back home. We were lucky that we were not rear ended. There are hundreds of complaints on social media referring to the same situation for other Jeep 4xe vehicles after completing the OTA update. Stellantis has not issued any official statement regarding this. This is a situation that could result in serious injury or death to many as the vehicle suddenly loses all functionality with no warning. Looking for answers, I went to the 4xe forum where I see a ton of messages from other Jeep customers having the same issue with this model year after this software update. I learned from a Jeep forum today that there was an update released on uconnect on Friday 10/10/25 and it affected lots of Jeep owners with the same symptoms . I did see the notification on Saturday and delayed it the 1st time and Jeep ran fine but the accepted it later and it happened after that. Thank God i was in my quiet neighborhood and returned the Jeep home safely that day.
