On each occasion, no vehicles, pedestrians, or obstructions were present ahead of or around the vehicle. The road was clear. The activation produced a large bright yellow dash notification and the vehicle's brakes activated. Minor children were passengers in the vehicle during these events. The vehicle has an active Florida Lemon Law case with multiple prior documented electrical nonconformities. When I attempted to schedule yet another service appointment to have THIS defect diagnosed, the dealer, who sold me the vehicle, refused to service the vehicle due to the pending lemon law status and directed me to contact Honda Corporate. When I asked the dealer to provide their refusal and the requirement for Corporate authorization in writing, they declined to do so. Honda Corporate has not responded in over 72 hours. The noise is very light, but sounds like a clunking/rattle and can be felt through the steering wheel. It is intermittent. Because I am unsure what is actually causing the noise, I cannot state whether it is actually part of the suspension system or steering column area. The dealership cannot replicate the noise, so it has been turned away twice now. Does not feel safe. This has happened twice now, and has caused me to become a road hazard as I am not able to get the car turned back on before the light turns green. This has happened twice in the past month (May 7 2026 and June 1 2026). Have not yet taken the car back to the dealer. No warning lights or anything came on prior to the incident. Sometimes, the car turns back on by itself in seconds. Other times, I have to turn the car back on myself by pressing the “engine on” button, and I struggle to get the car to turn back on. Very dangerous to be obstructing traffic at busy intersections or on a busy highway when stopped while another car ahead is making a turn. I’m scared to drive this car with my children in it. Took it into the dealership Wyatt Johnson in Clarksville, TN they said they could get it to show an 8volt which is a reduction and shows that it is failing, but said Honda would not replace until it fails in the dealership. When coming to a stop, the AIS shuts off the engine as designed, but the vehicle then fails to restart when the brake is released. The vehicle shifts itself into Park automatically without driver input, either before or at the same time as a dashboard message appears instructing the driver to depress the brake pedal and press the start button. When the start button is pressed, the dash resets but the engine does not start. The only way to recover is to fully power the vehicle off and restart it, which is difficult and unsafe at a busy intersection or red light. This puts the driver and others at serious risk. The vehicle becomes immobilized in traffic with no ability to move it out of the path of oncoming or following vehicles, creating a risk of being rear-ended. The unexpected automatic shift into Park is also a vehicle control concern, as the driver does not initiate it. The problem is intermittent. The vehicle has been taken to an authorized dealer twice. On the first visit the dealer kept the vehicle several days with a loaner and attempted to replicate the issue but could not. On the second visit the dealer kept the vehicle one day and again could not reproduce it. A third diagnostic visit is scheduled, during which the service manager intends to drive the vehicle to attempt replication. As of now the failure has not been confirmed or reproduced by the dealer. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. No warning lamps appear prior to the failure. The only symptom is the automatic shift into Park and the dashboard message to depress the brake and restart, which appear at the moment of the malfunction. So far we have had 1.The USB port not working in the center console 2.Battery was draining and it was struggling to start, died at lights and barely turned back on 3. Door sensor on passenger side kept saying it was open when it wasnt 4. Air barely working 5. Wind sound whipping through the driver side 6. Raining in to the vehicle on the passenger side 7. Screen barely works, sometimes it takes forever to turn on sometimes it just wont switch or load or it just stays on a black screen 8. After taking it for the who knows how many times for the popping sound they deemed the steering column unsafe to drive and replaced that and they had the vehicle for almost a month because they couldn't get the parts, in that time they even admitted they felt the transmission issues 9. Starter was replaced after complaining for months about it dying at lights or stops and it being rough to start 10. Popping sound from the axle when you go over anything or turn the wheel 11. Back passenger door wont shut it just keeps popping back open 12. Doors dont lock when you walk away 13. Passenger doors will unlock but driver side doesn't 14. The passenger door got stuck and we had to crawl through and push it open 15. Transmission gets stuck and wont go over 30 and the rpms go up but the speed doesn't move, it shifts hard and makes a thud sound, and the engine is crazy loud 16. Has a crazy vibration coming from it 17. Will brake on its own with nothing around it 18. Was switching to sport mode on its own in the middle of driving 19.
