|---|---|---|---|---|
| Oct 2025 | POWER TRAIN | Received 10/10 uconnect update. Within 1 mile, car lost power and rolled to stop with check engine light on. Did reboot but no imrovement. Hundreds of people have reported same issue after updating. We are hundreds of miles from home. | Oct 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | When I pulled my Jeep 4xe into my garage, I got an alert on my radio saying my Jeep needed to updated. I selected to go ahead and update it. The next time I drove my vehicle, I made it about a quarter mile. When I was crossing an intersection, all of the lights on my dash went crazy and my Jeep completely shut down. Luckily I could put it into neutral to coast through the busy intersection. It was very scary. I had to pull over, turn it off and back on again. It did start up and continued to drive. Now my check engine light is on. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | After an over-the-air update of the Uconnect system on 10/10/25 the vehicle repeatedly lost propulsion. In each instance I abruptly had absolutely no acceleration, the gear indicator on the dash started flashing, the power mode indicator (electric/hybrid/esave) disappeared, an alert said shift into park and press the brake + start button, and the check engine light and red wrench lights came on. I was still able to steer and brake with power steering and brakes for maybe 30 seconds before those went out too. After putting it into park and pressing the brake and start button it started back up and I could drive it normally for a little bit, but it happened two more times on a 1.5 mi drive. This is a serious safety issue. I read the check engine code which was P1E1D | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | Jeep pushed a software update on 4xe models on 10-10-2025. Today on 10-11-25 I pulled out of my driveway drove less than 100 feet and lost power. The check engine light came on vehicle said to switch to park and start the vehicle. This happens four times trying to turn around in a 2 block radius to get home. With the vehicle parked I turned it on kept my foot on the brake vehicle in drive and it continues to occur. Dealership said they had several 4xe towed in and multiple calls. Jeep customer service claims they are unaware of the issue. My 2024 Jeep is not drivable. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | On 10/10/2025 at approximately 11:00 pm CT I was driving my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe on a four lane divided highway at 70 MPH. During the drive a check engine light popped on solid and three seconds later the vehicle killed power and the steering wheel locked up. The Check Engine light was solid and NOT blinking. 911 was called as this incident occurred at the crest of a hill and I was still partially on the roadway. This was following an Over the Air UConnect Box update at 5:00 pm CT. The vehicle was able to be moved to the shoulder and was towed to the service center. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE | Jeep pushed a Uconnect update on 10/10/2025 which I installed, caused my vehicle to shut off completely during driving on a main road shortly after leaving my home. All engine and dash lights came on, coult not take the vehicle out of drive. The shifter was stuck. I turned the vehicle off then moved shifter back to park and started it again. It continued to do this every few feet. This is extremely dangerous and could cause major accidents to happen. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Vehicle suddenly dropped in speed. Only able to go about 10 mph. CEL and received Electronic Stability Control error. Was able to get car home and CEL message eventually off. Drove it again but found that it would shut down about every 10 miles. Would have to stop the car, shut it off, then could drive it another 10 miles. And the CEL did come back on. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | STEERING,POWER TRAIN,ENGINE | While driving my vehicel, seems that an update were installed that caused a sudden hard stop, the check engine signal turned on and the system asked to change from D to P. We had the fortune that it was in traffic, so the vehicle was almost stopped. After a restart, I was able to drive but 3 minutes later... It happened again. I was not being able to accelerate and the system asking to change to Parking while driving at 30 MPH. I was driving with my family and it was hard for us because my daughter feels unsecured. How is it possible that an update broke some vehicles? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | After installing the latest OTA update (U37.23-PROD), my Wrangler 4xe displayed “Service Hybrid System” and lost power while driving on the highway. The vehicle entered reduced-power mode, forcing me to continue using only the gas engine with limited acceleration. This is a safety issue. The problem started immediately after the OTA update. Diagnostic codes: U0594, P0A45, P1E1D. Please escalate this to Stellantis Technical Operations and confirm if a software reprogram (TSB 08-029-23) is available for my VIN. This situation created a serious safety concern while traveling 300 miles from home on a weekend with no Jeep dealers open. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | POWER TRAIN,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Jeeps received an over the air update on 10/11/2025 and after the update experienced loss of power while driving with no warning . This could have caused an accident . I was driving down a road and there was no warning indication when my jeep suddenly just started to stall. I just had it inspected and drove without issue the day before . When I called the dealer to have it towed she said someone else had the same issue and had just called . When I searched online others with the same vehicle were also experiencing the same thing . This is a very dangerous experience that coukd have caused casualties and Jeep should be held accountable for it. Their software update was not ready for release and this type of failure is entirely preventable . | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | 2024 Hybrid. Vehicle shuts down while driving. Driver had to pull over to shut vehicle down and then restart it. Very dangerous situation. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Performed software update yesterday evening while driving. Stopped to get gas and software update completed. Stopped to get food and when I got back into my car, check engine light came on and car abruptly emergency braked and powered off while in drive. Had to change drive mode to e save to make it home. Attempted to drive again and car lost power and came to a halt every other minute. Had to turn car off, turn back on wherever it halted. In the middle of traffic. Almost caused an accident several times. I have video. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | Over the air Software update for uconnect caused the vehicle to lose power and power steering at 60mph on the freeway only ten minutes after installing the update. Vehicle now loses power when attempting to drive with hybrid mode on. Vehicle is inoperable and unsafe to drive until Stellantis reverts this OTA update. All 2024 MY or newer Jeep Wrangler 4XE that received the update are impacted. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ENGINE | Jeep sent an OTA update through the Uconnect system on 10/10. This morning while driving my vehicle lost power unexpectedly and was forced to stop and the check engine light is now on. Thankfully I was in a quiet residential area with not a lot of traffic or this could have been a serious accident. Jeep is saying it is was a telematics box module update and no fix is ready at this time. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | A software update appears on the screen. I hit update and got out of the Jeep. A number of hours later I started up the Jeep and drove away, about a mile down the road while driving the Jeep entirely shutdown. The motor was off and I had not control. The dash told me to put it in park and update. I was luckily in a spot where I could just stop in the middle of the road, I put it in park restarted but now with the check engine light on. I was able to limp home. It was very scary as if it was a more major road I could have caused an accident. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Software update causes vehicle to completely loose power after two minutes or so of driving. Very serious problem and dangerous. | Oct 2025 | POWER TRAIN,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE | Immediately after updating the UConnect software in my parking lot, I drove away and my Jeep lost power while driving. Engine shut off and said "Shift to P to Start." Had to shift to park and restart just to get moving again. Was barely able to get it to the dealership right afterwards and then it happened again while in motion. Happened again and again in the dealership parking lot. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | Immediately following a Uconnect software update performed around 11:00 AM on October 11, 2025, my 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe stalled multiple times while driving on the highway. The vehicle lost power and became inoperable, creating an extremely dangerous situation. I was transporting my child at the time. Trouble Code: P1E1D. Number of Stalls: 3 total (1 on highway, 2 shortly after). The dealer confirmed they had received around 12 other Wrangler 4xe vehicles towed in the same day for the same issue, and another nearby dealer reported over 15. I have since learned through online owner forums that many other 2024 Wrangler 4xe owners are experiencing identical failures after the same software update within the last 48 hours. Jeep/Stellantis has not issued any public statement or safety notice. This is a critical safety hazard affecting many vehicles and should be treated as a potential defect related to the most recent Uconnect update. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE | Car is locking up and saying “press P to start” and shift gear lights start blinking. Check engine light is also on | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | After doing the unconnect update on Oct 10, while the vehicle was driving it bricked (stopped moving, everything went off). Causing a near accident with our entire family in the car - young children involved! We pulled over and turned it off then back on again and we're in limp mode for a while when it bricked AGAIN this time in the middle of an intersection. This is a BRAND NEW Jeep and has barely been driven. Absolutely horrific! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | After automatic update, the vehicle lost propulsion and stopped at the middle of the road. All lights came on. Lost power steering as well. Restarting the car clears the lights except check engine light. It happened 2 more times on my way home. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I accepted a uconnect software update last night and this morning lost complete power while diving my jeep multiple times. I had to pull over on busy streets, put the vehicle in park, turn on/off the vehicle a couple times and got it to start again. The check engine light has been on since. I went to the dealership and they said they’ve received multiple complaints today as well. I have it home and not drivable. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | STEERING,POWER TRAIN,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | After an Update, the Jeep died completely in the middle of the road with a bunch of errors on the dash and would not restart. After about 10 minutes, it restarted but died again shortly after. A third try a while later and it ran in manual transmission mode to where we could get it home. Check engine light is on and vehicle is still acting odd. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Diving when alert came on that said service charging system and vehicle was going to be disabled. With in seconds vehicle powered off. I was barely able to pull off and part of my vehicle was still stuck sticking out on a busy road. Vehicles check engine light came, battery light and a message about the charging system. Has to have the vehicle towed to the dealer. I was told this was the 4th jeep towed there today after yesterday’s update. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
