| Nov 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SEATS,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | 2018 Grand Cherokee....As you are aware of this already, the radio screen started delaminating and now the crystals are leaking out of he bottom of the screen. This in turn causes all the systems to go off and on at random, that can be controlled by the screen. All safety functions are now disabled due to this problem. Several attempts were made to contact the dealership and jeep customer care, only to be told that here is nothing they can do and to buy a new one. They also said there was no guarantee that the new radio wouldn't do the same thing. This is a top of the line high altitude grand cherokee that now doesn't have any of the safety features and comforts that i paid top dollar for. Jeep should honor their quality control issues but have been blowing everyone off. I have been on many forums and they are having the same issue. I got your website from one of the forums and can't believe that is has been a long time since they posted and you couldn't do anything about it so far. Thanks for listening, [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The screen is delaminating a little bit not long after I bought the car. Now the delamination came down to the radio button. The vehicle was able to restart. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V524000 (Electrical System); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 88,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 88,000 |
| Oct 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The UConnect touchscreen on my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee has experienced delaminating and I currently experience phantom touches on the screen (I don't touch the screen but selections are randomly made). These phantom touches are a serious distraction to a driver and they happen frequently. Given all of the controls for the automobile that can be made from the screen, it is a serious safety issues to drivers of these vehicles with this issue as well as others on the road. I have read on numerous online forums that there have been many others that have or are currently experiencing this problem. I believe the auto maker should have these vehicles recalled and appropriately fixed. Please look into this issue ASAP before someone is hurt by the automaker's inaction. I'd be happy to answer any questions that you might have about this problem. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The Uconnect (screen with radio/nav/driver control) is "delaminating". Which means the one screen layer is separating from another layer. This causes the screen to change randomly. With the Uconnect on, I can expect the radio to change stations, AC/Heat to change temperatyre/speed and basically anything that the Uconnect controls. It all depends on what part of the screen is effected that particular day. It's a huge distraction and no way to eliminate using the Uconnect since it control some of the basic car functions. I am unawar of a fix o this problem. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Oct 2023 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | When refueling the vehicle, the fuel pump handle must be inverted in order to deliver gas. Without such upside down delivery. the pump shuts off.. The Inverted handle delivery creates a health and safety issue as gas can easily overflow the tank fuel filler tube. My wife just spent three days in the hospital after being bathed in gas, and now has heart and vision issues as a result. Jeep has a history of gas filler tube issues. Numerous Internet blogs report the same issue. | Crash: No Fire: No Injuries: 1 Medical attention | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | We bought this vehicle brand new in 2018, since then it has had an entire new engine, numerous check engine lights and safety recalls. There are now 2 recalls that pose a risk for my family and I with no solutions provided. Chrystler refused to buy back the vehicle or provide us with a loaner while a solution is not available. This type of business is not right. I’m left with an unsafe vehicle. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Sep 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The screen on the UConnect system in my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee recently started delaminating. More recently, it has started to randomly change radio stations or make other "phantom" changes while I'm driving without me touching anything. This is clearly a safety issue as it is very distracting while I'm driving. After extensive research online it appears that this is a very common issue with vehicles like mine and Jeep hasn't done anything to help owners get this issue fixed. I keep my car in great shape so there hasn't been any user damage. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | U connect touch screen delaminating screen. Causes several distractions while driving. Moreover, It controls heating and defrost system which controls and severely impacts driver visibility in certain driving conditions. Especially during rain, snow very hot and cold weather conditions. It’s a fact that we can’t control the elements. As well the backup camera is affected by disabling backup alerts. It’s over $1k to repair and not covered under warranty. This is a common problem for the make and model vehicle and there are several forums inquiring about the same issues. Statistically this is a problem that’s deserves immediate attention. shortly after my purchase we experienced a pandemic that caused a financial strain. It’s unreasonable for the maker to put the burden on consumers. When they choose produce a products that’s effects the well being of there customers. This is the 4th Jeep I’ve purchased I have never dealt with this until now. so why would they change the vendor unless it was minimizing manufacturing cost making this an ethical issue as well | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Sep 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Entire front leather dash has delaminated and separated by bubbling up from the original glue not holding. Also, the exhaust resonators (both sides) on my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is bad on both sides and blowing out fiberglass from my exhaust pipes all over the backside of my car. I’ve read on multiple forms that several customers have encountered the exact same issues on their Jeeps as well. Is this issue being addressed and covered by the manufacture? If so, I definitely would like this to be taken care of. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Sep 2023 | SEATS | While driving in town my passenger side seat headrest exploded suddenly making a very loud noise causing me to think something had hit my vehicle which caused me to swerve in traffic. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The U CONNECT screen is de-laminating and this is leading to ghost presses on the screen. If my phone is connected, it will start randomly calling people. The entertainment system will change inputs, stations or tracks at random - allowing up to 4 seconds before switching. The automatic climate control will change fan speeds and function constantly. The GPS navigation screen will not stay up and tries to reroute while driving or switch to another function. This is not just an glitch every once in a while, this is constant change - I have a 20 second video showing the screen changing to the climate controls, turning off the auto function, change fan speeds 4 times, change the vents being used then going back to auto and then changing the screen to the media screen and then putting the time change up. My kids are saying the car is possessed. This behavior is very distracting to the driver and is a hazard. Other safety issues include not being able to use navigation to get to an unknown location and not being to use hands free calling. Does not matter if the car is moving or stationary. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | THIS VEHICLE WILL NOT MOVE (INTERMITANT PROBLEM) AT TIMES WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PLACED IN DRIVE OR REVERSE. THE GEAR SHIFT CONSOLE AND DASH WILL FLASH AND THE VEHICLE IS RENDRED USELESS. I HAVE TO TURN OFF AND RESTART THE VEHICLE TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. TEMPORARY FIX. IT KEEPS HAPPENING. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 3 TIMES (DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE FOR OVER A YEAR). NOONE KNOWS WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. NO CODES ARE THROWN. JEEP HAS BEEN CONTACTED. SEVERAL FORUMS I HAVE LOOKED AT ONLINE STATE THIS PROBLEM WITH NO RESOLUTION. THE PROBLEM IS SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE KILLED OR SERIOUSLY INJURED. WHEN IT LEAVES ME STRANDED IN AN INTERSECTION, WHICH IT DID, I HAVE A MAJOR PROBLEM. A RESOLUTION HAS TO BE FOUND. ITS NOT ALLOWING ME TO UPLOAD VIDEO. I DO HAVE VIDEO OF THIS HAPPENING WHICH HAS BEEN SHOWN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THE ADJUSTER OF MY EXTENDED WARRENTY COMPANY. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | UConnect screen delaminating, changing setting, turning on/off heat, ac, temps, seat warmers, making calls, changing radio stations, all while driving. Unable to use any bluetooth features. All the jumping around on the screen and adjustments while driving is a HUGE distraction and safety concern for distracted driving. Dealers will not replace without charging at minimum $2000, and replacement option is ordering the same unit again, which will eventually have the exact same issues, so not a feasible long term fix. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
