| Sep 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Infortament system delamination and ghost touching of the Navigation screen could distract drivers which directly related to driving safety. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The control center of the vehicle (radio) comes on and makes calls and also turns on equipment in the vehicle that distracts the driver from driving. If you power it off it will come back on. It controls your phone and navigation and all climate controls in vehicle. Jeep is aware of the problem but will not do anything to fix it. We tell people not to text and drive and this vechicle does it without you knowing which causes eyes to go off the road. We have already experienced a close call with the distracting of a driver | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I have had 2 safety recalls open on my Jeep without remedy for over a year. FCA has failed to do anything putting me and my family at risk. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC),TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM | The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, the engine revved but the vehicle hesitated while accelerating. However, the contact stated that the vehicle accelerated after removing the foot off the accelerator pedal. The contact stated that the Service Electronic Stabili-trak warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed. The dealer determined that the traction control sensor needed to be replaced. The sensor was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and determined that the part for the repair needed to be ordered. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 30,000 |
| Sep 2023 | POWER TRAIN | When I turn the vehicle on 'start' and change the gear from P to D in order to start driving, I get a warning sign that says "Shift to P then Desired Gear". I have to follow the sign direction several times back and forth and also turning the engine off and starting on again until it engage to gear followed with a big transmission bump. i just made an appointment at a dealership for an inspection. Others Jeep Grand Cherokee have indicate the same situation.... | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Sep 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Auto start/stop turns car off completely, requiring putting the car in park and manually restarting the car. Causing a possible rear end collision at traffic light. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The leather is pulling loose on dash. It is bubbled up from passenger side starting over into drivers side | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The "UCONNECT" touch screen infotainment system is delaminating which causes rapid and continuous "ghost" touches. This is extremely distracting and unnerving. This will occur on any screen. Radio, navigation, climate control, sos, etc. are all affected by this. When this occurs it is very difficult to concentrate on driving due to the rapid succesion of ghost touches. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The radio screen is de-laminating, causing the radio to go haywire with constant ghost-touching. The radio screen controls most of the car, so besides the non-stop beeping being very distracting, it is giving dangerous commands to my car. It makes unwanted phone calls, including to SOS. It turns on the backup camera when I am on the interstate. It continues to beep when I am in reverse so I cannot hear the beeps from the collision warning system. It turns on the seat warmers when it's already >100 degrees outside. It does not allow me to see the suspension settings and data when I am in 4WD. It turns on Navigation I do not want and does not allow me to use Navigation maps that I need. It turn the radio on full blast while continuously changing stations. I cannot turn off the radio screen and the perpetual chaos it causes because a single ghost touch immediately turns it back on. It is ghost touched approximately every 1-2 seconds. It is very distracting, chaotic, and hazardous to drive with this happening. I paid a Jeep dealer for a Diagnostic test that confirmed the issue is caused by de-lamination. Both Jeep and the dealer refused to replace cover the costs of repair. There were no warnings before the radio screen began de-laminating and the ghost touching started in December 2022. It is has slowly gotten worse each month since then. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING,FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL | The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V411000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) and 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. An undisclosed dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The screen has been doing phantom touches most likely due to the bubble forming under the top layer (currently getting it diagnosed for delamination). This is a safety risk due to the distraction from the changes on the screen and the fact that it will cause me to look at the screen and not at the road. The radio, phone and also GPS all are affected currently. I am not able to use handsfree for my phone and the GPS is not usable as well. Like I said, the vehicle currently has an appointment set up to be diagnosed so it can be submitted to UConnect. There is no warning messages for this. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel), 23V411000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) and 20V699000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. An undisclosed dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Air conditioner is blowing only hot air. My car is 5 years old with 24,000 miles and i have Already paid to refill my 1234 refrigerant and within a couple months it's blowing hot air again. Now i am being quoted $1200 plus dollars to fix a leak. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | EXTREMELY UNSAFE CONDITION. The lamination on the monitor is peeling/cracking and obscuring the information shown on the electronic read out. For functions such as GPS, this is very dangerous. I spend more valuable seconds trying to read the monitor (eyes off the road) in trying to understand and read the data. Luckily, I haven't had any incidents, but I would guess there have been multiple accidents caused by this very fixable condition in most Jeep's of this vintage. I implore you to initiate a recall ASAP. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | SEATS | I was driving on the highway today and my driver side active headrest popped open for no reason forcing my head into a very awkward position. I had to immediately exit to a gas station to adjust my seat because I felt very unsafe. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | My uConnect touchscreen started delaminating since end of year 2022. It has gotten worse where it interrupts my driving most of the time. Due to the screen delimitation, the radio irregularly switches the channels itself every 1 to 2 seconds; the AC/heat screen attempts switch the setting to front windshield or other air settings to a maximum airflow; the main setting screens attempts to call 911 emergency during many of my driving events; it attempts to change my clock settings…etc. Most of the interior settings are in the uConnect touch screen pages, no way I could get my settings stay AS IS from the denomination. It is nearly impossible for the drivers to concentrate during their driving from this irregular activity. I have contacted FCA and Jeep dealership but I have not gotten any resolution to resolve the issue. I have searched the sites for the issue and most of the 2018 Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Ram owners seems to have the same issue. However, the dealership is not taking the issue seriously. The irregular radio interruption is very dangerous to the drivers and I believe it should be a recall. (I wish I can upload a video to show the uConnect self irregular settings) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL | The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Infotainment center has bubble in screen that causes "ghost presses" on screen. Will change screens and turn on seat heaters and other car functions during driving. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SEATS,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The computer screen (radio, climate control, back up camera, etc.) The screen has a mind of its own. It will go on and off by itself all the time. It changes the radio stations and climate control by itself. The back up camera will be on and then as we are baking up it goes out, or won't work at all. Its very dangerous and distracting for the driver. In contacting Jeep, they will not cover the cost to repair or replace. We even purchased an extended Certified Added Care Warranty when we purchased the Jeep and they won't cover it either. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | The radio, GPS, back up camera, front brake warning, heat, air conditioning seat warmer continue to cycle through while driver. All systems light up and set off driver warnings. Compass and map shift and change direction. Constant beeping and alerts. Causing driver distractions and Almost crashed and rear-ended on several occasions. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING,FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL | The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel) and 23V411000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The local dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | UCONNECT - touchscreen digitizer is delaminating from screen. Causes phantom touches on the screen, including random calls and changing directions. Rear backup camera is also inaccessible. Very distracting and potentially dangerous. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Aug 2023 | SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC | The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked in a parking lot, the vehicle inadvertently rolled forward, hitting a concrete parking block, which damaged the front bumper. No injury was sustained. No police report was filed. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V426000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The dealer was made aware of the failure but confirmed that parts were not yet available. The dealer referred the contact to the manufacturer. Premier Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat (13000 I-10 Service Rd, New Orleans, LA 70128) was also made aware of the failure; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000. | Crash: Yes Fire: No | 38,000 |
| Jul 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | The stop/start feature on my Jeep has just stopped working. The battery has been checked and rechecked and replaced. It doesn't work. The biggest problem now is the 8.4 touchscreen display that malfunctions. The GPS is connected to this along with the radio and backup camera. Other features include the phone, climate control, and other functions. The phone will randomly select contacts I am not trying to call, and the GPS will randomly set locations I am not trying to go. The screen will jump from one application to another which is extremely distracting while driving. I've tried turning the screen off completely but this isn't helpful if I'm actually using my navigation. It's dangerous. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The information center/dashboard radio is malfunctioning in that it switches between stations, apps, randomly calls people, the backup camera no longer shows consistently, or sometimes does not turn on at all. When using maps, it causes a danger as it does not show turns and is constantly changing screens. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This is distracting and makes hands free calling impossible due to the fact that it will hang up, put on hold, or call 911. This is a known problem for 2018 Jeep grand Cherokee. There were no warning signs and the issues started happening out of nowhere. This malfunction poses a big safety threat due to the distractions, and misdirection the system is now causing. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
