| Feb 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Jeep TSB S2008000158 This service bulletin is exactly that happened to my jeep but because it is a 2022 jeep that will not honor the service bulletin. This has happened to me twice, once in my garage and another time driving and the jeep just stopped in the middle of the street. Both times have been taken into the Jeep dealership. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Feb 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I am writing to express my serious concern regarding the safety recall initiated by FCA US for the Jeep Wrangler 4xe. This recall, which pertains to an internally failed HV battery, poses a significant safety risk to vehicle occupants, bystanders, and property. As stated in the summary provided by FCA US, an internally failed HV battery in the affected vehicles could lead to a vehicle fire, regardless of whether the ignition is on or off. This presents an alarming safety hazard, as a vehicle fire not only increases the risk of occupant injury but also poses a threat to individuals outside the vehicle and can result in substantial property damage. While it is commendable that FCA US has initiated a voluntary safety recall to address this issue, the proposed remedy raises several concerns. The instruction for customers to refrain from recharging these vehicles and to avoid parking them inside buildings or structures, or near other vehicles until the final repair is completed, is deeply troubling. This instruction places an undue burden on affected vehicle owners, as it significantly disrupts their daily routines and raises questions about the practicality and feasibility of implementing such precautions. Furthermore, it fails to provide a comprehensive solution to mitigate the risk of vehicle fires effectively. Moreover, the solution is completely ineffective as it puts the liability back on the customer since FCA will not deem the vehicle inoperable. This refusal to acknowledge the severity of the safety risk and to take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of vehicle occupants is unacceptable. I urge thorough investigation by NHTSA into the root cause, that they ensure transparent communication by FCA, and accountability for FCA's inadequate response. Failure to address this promptly endangers lives and property. Please prioritize this critical issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,SERVICE BRAKES,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I was stopped at a red light with my foot on the brake, and had been for at least 30 seconds. The jeep all the sudden revved and started moving forward. I continued to push on the brake but the jeep didn't stop. I attempted to turn the jeep to the right to avoid the car in front of me, but was unable and slammed into the back of the car. Despite my foot being on the brake the jeep continued to rev even after I hit the car. I put the jeep in park and it stopped revving. A police report was filed. There was damage caused to the car in front of me. The jeep has not been able to be taken to the dealership yet for inspection. | Crash: Yes Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | STEERING,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The car starts to shudder after driving over a gap in the road or bumpy pavement. Usually at around 50-60mph. Had two episodes that were minor and then a week later on the same drive two more episodes with much more intense vibrations. Had to quickly reduce speed to stop the resonance and vibration in each case. Will be checking for loose parts below the vehicle, which has about 8500 miles on it. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Engine speed became limited while driving and abruptly slowed down to 10 MPH while driving on the streets almost causing an incident for myself and others. Once car was stopped loud noises would come from Hybrid cooling system as if it was overheating upon start up. Dealer confirmed inspection and fixed hybrid cooling system which was covered under warranty. 3 weeks later after fix, vehicle engine light came on again and car had to be in service for another warranty issue connected to the fuel line. No warning lights, messages or symptoms of problems before incident happened. My family and I are terrified from the first incident and the 2nd engine light coming on only a few weeks later has confirmed our concerns that jeep has made a faulty product and these vehicles should be recalled. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | POWER TRAIN | It’s a recall on 6 speed manual transmission.a few times I smell the burning clutch smell..the recall says the jeep can catch fire..it’s been almost a year since I got the notice and still no repair .. am I suppose to risk my jeep catching on fire? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | With this recall and no repair, I no longer feel safe driving my Jeep and being that the recall notice states not to park near other vehicles or buildings/structures is another safety concern. It lunges upon first driving as well. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | When a snow event happens, especially wet snow the factory LED headlights and fog lights get completely covered in snow and are useless. They produce no heat to melt the snow. This is dangerous at night. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | Rear defrost connector comes unsoldered. My car is a 2022 with less than 12,000 miles on it. I basically drive it during the summer months when going to the lake. I bought the car brand new as a special order and received it in march 2022. I went to use my rear defrost, for probably the first time since owning my car, and it wouldn’t work. I took it to the dealer to have the defrost fixed- but now I’m being told it’s not covered, as windows are only covered for 12 months or 12,000 miles. It’s not my window- it’s the defrost! From a simple online search I can see that MANY people are experiencing this SAME issue! A car that is less than 2 years old and has about 11,500 miles on it, should t have an issue with defrost working! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | ENGINE | Water pump failure during cold weather event down to 20F, told by dealership that plastic hose adapter integral to the pump had cracked. Resulted in catastrophic loss of coolant while driving. Coolant reservoir is opaque and pressurized so level could not be verified while hot. Replaced under warranty. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | On 12/28/2023, my wife was traveling on the highway at normal operating speed when she encountered the front end of our 2022 Jeep Wrangler begin violently shaking. I looked over the jeep to inspecting for any visual cues, but could see none. I thought maybe it was something in the road, so I drove it on the highway, all seemed well until I began to travel over a bridge and I thought the front end of the jeep was going to come apart (literally). I limped the jeep back home and immediately contacted the jeep dealer I bought it from. The dealership said it's a known problem, I was so furious that a product could be sold with a known problem like that. I left it with the dealership to repair and was told there is no grantee this will fix the problem permanently. My wife said she won't drive it any longer for fear that it may happen again. What can I do as a consumer? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

Due to lack of brake lights upon rapid de-acceleration, nearly caused trailing vehicle to rear-end the subject Jeep Wrangler and swerve into oncoming traffic. Vehicle had to be towed to dealership due to unable to start and transmission lock. Video provided of event. Dealership advised could not repeat failure, manufacturer refused to open case with engineering. Software update applied. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. | Nov 2023 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | led headlights are not hot enough to keep snow melted off headlights. Jeep design has headlights in a recessed hole, so the snow sticks to headlights and does not blow off. The light is covered in snow and reduces visibility by 90%. This has been extremely dangerous as I have had to stop every mile to 2 miles to clean off manually in order to see. Why is this not a recall? This seems far more dangerous than many other recalls that I have seen. What can be done about this? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2023 | STEERING,SUSPENSION | Over last 3 months have had 8 occurrences of “Death Wobble”. Front end shakes violently at high speed. During a recent road trip, event occurred 4 times, so violently that I had to pull over and stop vehicle. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2023 | STEERING | While driving at higher speeds, after slightest road imperfection, the steering wheels shakes uncontrollably until you slow down considerably. The dealership acknowledges the problem calling it "death wobble" and offered to install steering damper. Research has found that this problem has existed on Jeep Wranglers since approx. 2017. A class action suit resulted in Jeep being ordered to install steering dampers and extending warranty. The uncontrollable shaking steering wheel is a hazardous condition and deserves more attention. Presently, four weeks later, I am still waiting of dealership to receive the ordered part. If this is a persistent problem, and a hazard, why no recall? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
