| Mar 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Palisade's Windshield cracked without any incidents, SUV was parked in the garage and today morning 03/21/2024 it had a 15-20 inch crack on the bottom of the windshield. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,AIR BAGS | Air bag light will intermittently turn on in the digital cluster while driving. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2024 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | Rear passenger windows are hazy. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I received a recall almost a year ago. Immediately contacted a Hyundai dealership who kept me on hold for an hour and said they couldn’t fix it or don’t know when someone would be able to. They got my number down and were supposed to call me and never did. I then took my car to the Hyundai dealership in Killeen to get the recall fixed and they said they didn’t have the part and couldn’t help me at this time. No one from either dealership has still contacted me!! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | When traveling at a modest rate of speed, if I apply the brakes going over any slightly uneven terrain the ABS triggers randomly and makes braking really difficult. It takes longer to stop and much harder pressure. I have reported this issue to the dealer but per usual they "cannot duplicate ", however it happens very often and my dash cam has caught it. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | WHEELS | The TPMS does not alert at the required safety standard of 25% or the recommended PSI. The recommended PSI for the 2023 Palisade is 35. 25% drop would be 26.25. Even driving on 26PSI can be potentially deadly depending on how worn your tires are. I have found my tires at 27-28 PSI at least 3 times since purchasing the vehicle with no alert. The dealership tested what PSI sets off the TPMS warning light to make sure it does trigger a warning, and it was 25 PSI. They said they tested a few other palisades they had on lot currently and all were triggered at 25 PSI. This is unacceptable! Driving a heavier SUV, they should be required to trigger a warning at 5 PSI dip to avoid excessive low-pressure tire wear and dangerous driving conditions. These are family vehicles carrying children. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | SEATS | 2023 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy is on it's 2nd trip into the shop to fix the driver-side righthand upright bolster. It fails to inflate properly both with manual adjustment and after 80mph as it's designed to do. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | WHEELS | Since brand new the TPMS has not alerted to low tire pressure. 3 times I have caught the tires at 27.5PSI without a warning light. Between that and a suspension problem that causes the car to pull to the right even after 2 all-wheel alignments, my tires have around 6-8/32 tread left after 11,000 miles and 1.5 years. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | This past weekend my family and I were driving in wet snowy weather in Colorado. We had the wipers set to the "Auto" position and everything seemed to be working. While driving I stepped on the brake and snow from the top of the vehicle slid down onto the windshield. All of a sudden the wipers stopped working. They were stuck halfway on the windshield. I tried to turn them off and on but nothing worked. Luckily I was able to safely pull off the side of the road. I cleared the snow from the windshield and then the wipers worked again. About an hour later I was driving on the freeway in snowy weather and the same thing happened again. The wipers suddenly stopped working. However, this time I was in heavy traffic and there was no safe place to pull off the interstate. I was able to look through a small area on top of the windshield and drove about another mile and half before I could find an exit to pull over. I cleaned the snow from the windshield but the wipers still did not work. I then opened the hood of the vehicle and continued to clear snow from below the windshield wiper arms. Finally the wipers began to work again. This is a HUGE safety issue. I could have easily been in an accident because of not being able to see forward. And if I were to stop suddenly, someone could have easily ran into the rear of our vehicle. The next business day I contacted my local dealership and informed him of the incident. I also informed him that there was a previous recall on the windshield wiper arm on this vehicle that I had replaced in July 2023. He indicated that the recall had nothing to do with the wipers not working in snowy weather and that I was welcome to bring the vehicle in to have the wipers inspected. I did that that same day. They inspected the wipers and informed me that the bolts holding the wiper arms were tight and that the wipers were working normally. There was no warning lights or other symptoms prior to this incident. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,LANE DEPARTURE | I have bought this 2023 hyundai palisade and the blue link button and the SOS EMERGENCY BUTTO do not work at all and I cannot get connected with the SOS emergency services in case of a crash or a medical emergency and that is a huge safety issue . I contacted hyundai blue link and hyundai customer service and it’s been 45 days with NO resolution yet and they don know how to fix this issue and cannot fix this issue . I want hyundai to open a recall on the blue link button and the sos button to fix it and repair this defect . Also I am enrolled in blue link till 1/26/2026 but t shows on the screen in my car that the blue link has expired on 12/31/2023 and that is wrong | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES | The contact owns a 2023 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle continued to surge forward. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on several occasions while at a stop light. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 16,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 16,000 |
| Feb 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The second all glass sunroof combusted in the center while driving. It sounded like a tire blowing out, really loud burst. No warning. I had the front window closed but the shade slide open. The second shade slide was closed, thankfully, otherwise it would have shattered glass everywhere inside the car. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SEATS,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I bought a 2023 hyundai palisade calligraphy and I found out the seat controls do not work and the air condition doesn’t work but they were fixed but the most important thing is the BLUE LINK BUTTON WHERE THE REAR VIEW MIRROR IS inside the car that I need in case of an emergency doesn’t work at all and doesn’t connect to hyundai blue link . I called hyundai manufacturer and I called hyundai blue link several times and their stupid engineers couldn’t fix the problem and I went to the dealership and their service dept and they couldn’t fix the issue . This is a brand new car that the blue link inside it doesn’t work at all and I paid for 3 years service .i push the blue link butto then it connects then it ends with no ring tone and no one on the other side . It keeps disconnecting and fails to connect me to blue link . This is a major defect in the hyundai palisade calligraphy and needs to be addressed seriously and professionally by hyundai and get it fixed immediately. I am attaching photos and videos and on my car screen it shown that blue link ended on 12/31/2023 but that is wrong because I have blue link until 1/26/2026 three more years but my car screen has it as expired on 12/31/2023 and that is wrong | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2024 | POWER TRAIN | At approximately 645 this morning my vehicle began hesitating and jerking as I pulled away from a stoplight. Approaching cars from behind nearly impaled me as my vehicle went from 10 mph to 20mh, then quickly decelerated to 10mph without engaging the brake. I turned my hazard lights on and slowly pulled into the closest neighborhood. There, I parked the vehicle, turned off the engine, and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle’s engine sputtered upon restart, the check, engine light came on and a notification (pictured) appeared on the infotainment screen. At 7 AM I called my closest Hyundai dealership to schedule an appointment to address the notification for the check engine, the open recall and routine maintenance. The dealer stated the issue might be the transmission. The powertrain warranty does not cover rental, however they will issue partial reimbursement after rental period. Also, directed to call regarding the warranty while at dealer on Tuesday. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Hazy film on second row window blinds you when pulling out almost got hit twice because of the sun glaring on the hazy blurry window. The dealer ship is aware of this and said they need to be replace but Hyundai said it was made that way. this is the first year for these kind of windows they are dangerous when trying to see out. When you ride in second row it hurts your eyes because they are so hazy especially on a sunny day everything looks blurry. Needs to be a recall before lot of people has bad wreck and some one loses their life the rest of the windows aren't laminated "if these are really laminated like they say" shouldn't be a problem to exchange them out. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | When put in snow mode, there is a loss of power or failure for the car to accelerate at all. You can put the accelerator to the floor, and the car will not move forward. You basically can not drive in traffic. I had to pull over multiple times to the shoulder, because the car would not accelerate at all. I could not even get to the shoulder, because the car would not drive. Almost caused multiple accidents as the car stops without warning. It happens without any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms. It is not because the car is in snow and trying to not spin tires or get stuck. You can try to very gently accelerate and it still won't go. You can push harder on the gas, still won't go. It is like it stalls but the car is still running. Just all of a sudden will not accelerate. I took a video of it occuring and gave that to the dealership. I took the car to the dealership as it was new, and they could not "replicate the problem." We no longer used the snow mode after that incident. Now, approximately a year later, we had a winter storm, so attempted to use the snow mode and it happened again this week. Attempting to turn into oncoming traffic and the car stalled out, almost causing a collision. I have read online this is happening to multiple people and other people have contacted NHTSA. The dealerships can't "replicate" the issue, so no one is getting help. This is a serious safety issue that will cause a collision or worse, if it has not already. A recall and safety update to the system is needed for cars experiencing this failure! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE | Just hit 5000 miles 2023 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy. Got my first oil change a couple hundred miles ago, car has been good. FWD model. 49 degrees outside. I was driving to work and the car suddenly lost all power, i was pushing accelerator further because the car was not moving and nothing. RPMS didnt move or anything. Coasted to the side, turned it off, restarted the car and continued to work. NO CEL.Taking it to dealership Monday Jan. 22, 2024. THIS WAS SCARY. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | 2023 palisade is stalling out. Happened three times in the last six months, I’m slowly driving around 20mph and then it decides it doesn’t want to accelerate. The car is still running, but the engine won’t rev or move, no rpm increase with pumping the pedal, the engine is silent, and I just hang out at 20 mph (pedal to the floor and all). It has moments of movement (gets up a few more mph) then stops accelerating again. Lasts for about 30 seconds then is back to normal. I’ve looking through the other post about people’s vehicles shutting off, but mine isn’t turning off completely, just freezing up. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | POWER TRAIN,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE | HYUNDAI PALISADE 2023 ENGINE STALLING / WON'T ACCELERATE IN SNOW/ICY ROADS. I have now experienced this engine stalling issue several time on my Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy 2023. It has only happened in "snow mode" so far. The car basically dies, no acceleration, no matter how hard you accelerate or floor it. I called the dealership named "Great Lakes Hyundai" in Dublin, Ohio and they said they basically can't do anything since this issue is intermittent. I will be filling a complaint with NHTSA and other state and regulatory agencies. Hyundai needs to fix this issue before people start dying on the snowy/icy roads. These are expensive cars and should not be dying on the roads like this, plus this is a very dangerous situation where the car just dies and does not respond to acceleration. No warning lights of any kind display on the dashboard. You put car in "ECO Mode", it starts driving. The car never lose traction when this issue occurs. Doing some research online, seems like lots of other Hyundai palisade and kia telluride owners are experiencing this issue and Hyundai/kia are not doing anything to remedy this issue. | Jan 2024 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL | I was operating the vehicle in “snow” mode. I had made a stop and attempted to turn onto the highway. The vehicle started off ok it seemed for conditions but when I went to accelerate the vehicle had no power despite pushing all the way down on the peddle. The vehicle continued to slow as I was trying to get pulled over and figure out what was going on. We maybe made it 50 yards max before the car was at almost a full stop. Suddenly the acceleration kicked back in and we were able to go. The car acted like the bumper cars at the fair where you can’t go at all and then suddenly the power kicks in. Luckily there was no traffic coming behind me otherwise we could have been rear ended at highway speeds. VERY unsafe condition and someone could easily be injured or killed because of this if they were to get hit. Had I been turning left I might not have even made it across the road | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | The contact owns a 2023 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH, the windshield wipers stopped operating as needed. The contact believed that the failure was associated with NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V180000 (Visibility/Wiper) which was repaired in 2023. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that an unknown part was a design flaw. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 15,000. The contact stated this is extremely dangerous while driving the windshield became covered with snow/water and preventing her from seeing while on the highway. | Crash: No Fire: No | 15,000 |
| Jan 2024 | ENGINE | When startin ghte engine of my new 2023 at any temp below 40 degrees there is a loud squeal. Dealer claimed it was the Serpentine belt pre-tensioner. It was not. Many Many Telluride and Palasadie owners have this issue on the forums. Persists every single cold start below 40 for about 10 seconds. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | There was a recall for a wiper issue spring 2023 that was for an issue of the wipers not working during snow. It did happen before it was fixed. Yesterday was the first real snow and it happened again while driving they stopped working. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I was driving down the roadway and heard a loud noise that sounded like an impact followed by the sound of glass cracking. The panoramic sunroof suddenly shattered. I was confused because I had not gone under an over pass and there were no trucks in front of me to launch a rock in my direction. I thought maybe something had fallen out of the sky from an airplane or something. It was very frightening! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2024 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE | Vehicle loses power during driving and unable to accelerate further. It slows down by itself and nearly stops on the highway. This has happened at least three times and almost caused an accident. Took it to a Hyundai dealership and was told it was fixed just to experience a similar problem the next day. They gave me a rental Hyundai Santa Fe and I experienced the same issue with loss of acceleration power and vehicle slowly down despite trying to accelerate. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
